Capturing Times
MyLog can capture times automatically from aircraft display photos or screenshots. You can capture times while adding a log, or open Capture Log by sharing a screenshot to MyLog from your device.
Capture Time is still a beta feature and may produce inaccurate results. OCR may not read every photo correctly, so always double-check the captured times before saving the log.
Capture times while adding a log
- Open the Add Log screen.
- Tap the Capture Time icon next to the time fields.
- Choose whether to select a photo from your library or take a new photo.
- Select or capture the image.
- Tap Continue.
- Review the captured result.
- If MyLog shows multiple possible results, choose the one you want to use.
- Tap Continue to return to Add Log and fill the time fields with the selected result.
MyLog asks for photo or camera permission the first time you use this feature. You can read more in the Privacy Policy.
If you want MyLog to save the photo used for captured times, enable that option from MyLog Settings.
Open Capture Log from the share menu
You can also start from a screenshot outside MyLog.
- Open the screenshot or photo on your device.
- Use the system Share menu.
- Choose MyLog.
- MyLog opens the Capture Log screen with the selected image.
- Review the captured result before saving.
On iOS, MyLog can appear directly as a share target. This makes it easier to send a roster screenshot or aircraft display screenshot into Capture Log without opening MyLog first.
Review results carefully
Capture Log can save time, but the final log is still your responsibility. Before saving, check:
- Out, Off, On, and In times.
- Date and time zone context.
- Departure and destination if they were detected or prefilled.
- Any warning shown by MyLog.
If the result looks wrong, correct the fields manually before saving.
